PROJECT INFORMATION

  1. Notice to Bidders: Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received for the project named below by the Alcorn School District.

  2. Project Identification: Biggersville High School Bathroom Renovation Project

  3. Project Location: Hwy 45 South, Corinth, MS

  4. Owner: Alcorn School District, 31 CR 401, Corinth, MS 38834

  5. Owner’s Representative: Brandon Quinn, Superintendent.

  6. Project Description: The project involves the renovation and construction of bathrooms at Biggersville High School, including the installation of new fixtures, water heaters, plumbing, and a new sidewalk.

BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING

  1. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Bid proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: “Biggersville High School Bathroom Renovation Project.” Envelope shall be addressed to Brandon Quinn, Superintendent of Schools, 31 CR 401, Corinth, MS 38834. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company name, Company address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder as the Owner assumes no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope by any employee of the Owner. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by the Owner, and delivered as follows:

    • In addition, Electronic bids may be submitted through the website www.alcornschoolsbids.com. Electronic bids are not required by the ASD but offered as another means to submit a bid.

    • Bid Date: August 6, 2024

    • Bid Time: 2:00 PM, local time.

    • Location: Alcorn School District, 31 CR 401, Corinth, MS 38834.

  2. Proposals shall be submitted upon the blank proposal form provided with the specifications.

  3. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.

BID SECURITY

  1. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.

  2. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety (90) days.

PREBID MEETING

  1. There is not a Pre-bid meeting that is required for this project. However, prospective bidders will be granted a meeting if requested. Pre-bid meeting requests should be forwarded to Jeff Boren, Director of Operations, at jboren@alcornschools.org.

TIME OF COMPLETION

  1. Successful bidder shall begin after notification of the award notice and shall substantially complete the work by September 30, 2024.

BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Performance Bonds and Proof of Insurance will be required of the successful Bidder.

  1. This Advertisement for Bids document is issued by the Alcorn School District.

  2. Advertisement dates are July 5, 2024 and July 12, 2024.
